Thanks @chadleverington, I’m not sure when yesterday you posted this, but I did add a small number of locations where the location is known (due to being on the “find us” map) but not much else. They’re listed as “plan” markers (purple question mark).
For the benefit of others - almost all grey markers on Tesla’s “find us” map are non-specific markers that refer to a town or region only. Generally, this info isn’t precise or definite enough to add to supercharge.info. However with the recent (August 1) update of grey pins in Australia, many of the new grey pins align to specific locations. This wouldn’t ordinarily be that useful, but many of them align to locations that have been verified by other sources (Government grant lists, sites where construction is already in progress, etc.) and are already on the supercharge.info map, backing up the accuracy of the grey pin data.
As a result, some of these new pins (that weren’t already on the map) have been added under the new “plan” marker type. Bordertown was one, as are Cairns, Townsville and Palmview/Sunshine Coast. Many of them (e.g. Parkes, Narrabri, etc) already existed, and some (e.g. Mandurah, Hobart, etc) do not have markers in precise enough locations to be worthy of adding to the map.
I think Australia is the only country where this has happened (although it appears a few in New Zealand have as well - haven’t double-checked these yet).
