Iceland Superchargers

Thread here:

Should be marked as “Construction”, “2 stall”, “145kW”. Should be open on Monday. I’ll try to get exact coordinates this evening, but there’s a map link in that thread.

@Keith - please add new country Iceland. This entry has for now been added under Ireland.

Just noticed that it’s still listed as under construction. It’s actually operational. Lots of pics of charge sessions on the Icelandic Tesla FB group.

Since this is a Supercharger next to a Service Center it might not show up in the in-car map, so there will be no offical Power (kW) value. Reports form users about the max. experienced charging power will be appreciated.

So, we’ve now gotten lots of charging sessions in many different vehicles - and not one has exceeded 120kW. I think that this station has a 120kW limit, not 145kW.

In case it matters: pricing is a (surprisingly high) 40kr/kWh (€0,29/ $0,33)

You’re sure that this is a Supercharger? Also what is the location?

It is a supercharger(couldn’t be anything else - destination chargers don’t exist in Iceland). The location is https://goo.gl/maps/ALF4crMt6cxyVXQP8 in the car park of the local sports complex.

Thank you for the info @dollob. I’ve posted about it in the Icelandic Supercharger forum on Tesla Motors Club, where you can post more info on Icelandic Superchargers if you find any. Thanks again!.

Maybe I’m missing something or the translation is wrong (I don’t speak Icelandic), but Google translate has the article saying that the supercharger will be opened next week, not that it is already operational. Are there confirmed charging sessions already?

Yeah, the article says next week. To my knowledge it has not opened yet.

People on the Icelandic Facebook group “Tesla eigendur og áhugafólk” are confirming charging at Staðarskáli.

BTW, I don’t see it on the map, but I remember seeing posts previously about Selfoss starting to go in.

Did they say where in Selfoss. I suspect it’s at the N1 but their parking lot is quite small

Supercharger at Egilsstaðir is now under construction - 2 x v2 stalls in place. New location is: Google kort

According to the local owners facebook group, it is a temporary stall until v3 stalls are in place.

The 2 x v2 stalls have been sourced from the previous temporary location at Grafarholt - which is now closed.

Hi @dollob, thanks for the report.

To clarify, by “under construction” are you referring to the temporary V2 pallet, or the eventual V3 stalls? In other words, are the V2 pallet chargers currently operating, or are they not yet open?
