I see there is a permit set for Lana’i. This seems very strange - why place a supercharger on a very small island with almost no roads? Especially when there is yet no supercharger on the larger islands with lots of people and roads?
Ask Larry Ellison, who is on Tesla’s board and owns basically the entire island.
I thought it was strange as well, until I found it about Larry Ellison as mentioned by @mociaf9!
