Future Supercharger Expansion Plans – How Accurate Are the Tesla Map Estimates?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been closely following Tesla’s Supercharger expansion plans, and I’ve noticed that their interactive map often lists upcoming locations as “Target Opening in [Year].” However, based on my observations, some of these estimated dates tend to shift, while others seem to pop up unexpectedly without prior notice.

I was wondering—how reliable have you found Tesla’s estimated Supercharger opening timelines to be? Are there any patterns or trends that suggest which locations get prioritized over others? For example, do urban locations tend to get completed on schedule, while rural or highway sites face more delays?

Additionally, I’d love to hear from those who track permits and construction progress. Are there any specific resources or methods you use to verify whether a location is actively moving forward? I’ve seen some people reference government permit databases or even visit sites in person, which seems like a great way to confirm progress.

Lastly, do you think Tesla’s expansion strategy is shifting in any way? With the push toward Magic Dock and increased third-party access to the network, could this impact how and where new sites are deployed?
